Is a financial adviser the right fit for you? It’s a great question. A financial adviser is not the right option for everyone.
Number one, if you’re the type of person that’s getting started on your investment journey, maybe contributing to a company retirement plan, maybe saving up for your first time home purchase, probably don’t need a financial adviser at that stage of your life.
If you are the type of person that wants to do all of your own research, wants to stay on top of all of your investments, and you have the bandwidth and the interest in doing that, you probably don’t need a financial adviser.
The type of person that I think benefits the most from having a financial adviser is somebody with a higher income and a higher net worth, where they’ve got their investments established, that wants to optimize their investments, and get the best return they possibly can with the risk managed and with a tax strategy involved.
